मुंबई हे शहर सर्वांसाठी एक स्वप्न नगरी आहे. प्रत्येक जण मुंबई मध्ये नोकरी करायचं स्वप्न बघतो. देशातील अनेक राज्यांमधून हजारों लोक मुंबई मध्ये नोकरी करायचा हेतू ने येत असतात.तसेच बाहेरचा देशातून पण कित्येक लोक मुंबई मध्ये येऊन नोकरी करतात.मुंबई मध्ये नोकऱ्यांची कमी नाही. फक्त ती नोकरी मिळवण्याची क्षमता आणि धडपड आपल्या मध्ये असली पाहिजे. आपल्या महाराष्ट्र राज्याचा गावा गावामधून लोक येऊन मुंबई मध्ये नोकऱ्या, उद्योग धंदे आणि व्यापार करतात. काही  शिक्षणासाठी तर काही क्रीडा स्पर्धांसाठी मुंबई मध्ये दाखल होतात. वर्षातून एकदा,दोन दा सणासुदीला गावी जाणारा सर्व सामान्य मुंबईकर आपलं गाव मात्र कधी विसरत नाही. कधी होळीला, गणपतीला तर कधी मे महिन्याचा सुट्टीत तो आवर्जून आपल्या गावी जातो. गावाशी असलेली त्याची ओढ त्याला आपल्या गावाकडे ओढत घेऊन जाते. गावाचा लहान मोठ्या कार्यात सहभागी होतो.

पण कोणत्याही कार्यक्रमात हवा असणारा मुंबईकर आज मात्र गावकऱ्याना अगदी नकोसा झाला आहे. लग्नासाठी मुलगी द्यायची असेल तर मुलगा मात्र मुंबई मध्ये नोकरी करणारा हवा ,मुंबईत त्याचं स्वतःच घर हवं असे म्हणणाऱ्या मुली आणि इतर गावाकडची लोक आज मुंबईकरांना बघून लांबूनच निघून जात आहेत. गावाचा इतर कामा मध्ये काम करायला आणि शुभ कार्यात देणग्या द्यायला मुंबईकर हवा असतो.पण आता त्याच मुंबईकर ला गावी येऊ नका असा सांगण्यात येतं. जरी तो गावी आला तरी वाळीत टाकल्या सारखी त्याला वागणूक दिली जाते. कोरोणा ह्या भयानक विषाणू ने लोकांना अगदी घाबरून सोडला आहे. त्यालाही माहित आहे त्याचा मुळे तुम्हाला त्रास होईल. पण तो तरी काय करणार आपलं गाव सोडून तो जाणार तरी कुठे...? अशा संकटकाळी गावचे नागरिक म्हणून तुमची ती जबाबदारी आहे, की तुम्ही मुंबई,पुण्यासारख्या शहरातून आलेल्या नागरिकाना योग्य वागणूक आणि राहण्यालायक सोई सुविधा उलब्ध करून द्याव्या.घाबरून न जाता त्यांना सहकार्य करावं.

ह्या कोरोना विषाणू चा भीती पोटी किती सारे मुंबईकर स्थलांतर करून आप आपल्या गावी परतले आहेत.अजून कित्येक मुंबईकर गावी जाण्यासाठी म्हणून बसले आहेत पण गावी गेल्यावर काय होईल,गावचे लोक घेतली की नाही आणि आमचा मुळे त्यांना कोरोना ची बाधा झाली तर ह्या भीतीने मुंबई मधेच बसून आहेत. मुंबई सारख्या शहरातील लोक कारोणाचा भीतीने घरात नुसते बसून आहेत. काम नाही आणि काम नाही तर पैसे नाहीत.तुम्हाला तर माहीतच आहे पैश्याशिवया ह्या युगात जगणं किती कठीण आहे, खरं तर मुंबईत जगणं किती कठीण आहे. हे lockdown चे दिवस आणि रात्र तो मुंबईकर कसे घालवत असेल हे आता त्याचा शिवाय चांगलं कुणाला माहिती  असणार...? पण तो हार मानणार नाही.  फक्त काहीच दिवसाचं संकट आहे नंतर सर्व मुंबई आपलीच आहे. परत जोमाने कष्ट करायचे आणि आनंदी राहायचं असा म्हणणारा तो एक खरा मुंबईकरच असेल. 

त्यामुळे मुंबई सारख्या शहरातून येणाऱ्या प्रत्येक व्यक्तीला मदत आणि सहकार्य करा. तो कुणी परका नसून आपल्याच गावातील एक नागरिक आहे, ह्याची जाण ठेवा.संपूर्ण जगावर आलेल्या कोरोना नावाचा विषानुशी लढायला त्याला तुमचा मदतीची गरज आहे. तो एक जबाबदार मुंबईकर आहे आणि त्या ही पेक्षा महत्त्वाचं म्हणजे तो ह्या कणखर महाराष्ट्राचा मातीतला मावळा आहे. त्यामुळे सर्वांनी थोडी माणुसकी दाखवा.आणि मदतीचा हाथ पुढे करा.

महाराष्ट्रातील सह्याद्रीचा कडे , कपाऱ्यांमध्ये तास अन तास कोसळणारा तो मुसळधार पाऊस सगळ्यांनी अनुभवला असेल.आपल्या महाराष्ट्रात असा एक ही व्यक्ती नसेल ज्याने सह्याद्रीचा पाऊस अनुभवलं नसेल.संपूर्ण डोंगराळ भागावरती पसरलेली पांढरी शुभ्र धुक्याची चादर पाहताच क्षणी मनाला अलवार स्पर्श करून जाते.पावसाचा येणारा प्रत्येक थेंब आणि थेंब मन तृप्त करून जातो.  

मुसळधार कोसळणाऱ्या पावसाने तयार झालेल्या धबधब्यामध्ये मनसोक्त भिजणे,
दिवस भर पावसामध्ये एका ठिकानाहून दुसऱ्या ठिकाणी फिरणे याची मज्जाच काही वेगळी असते.महाराजांचा पद स्पर्शाने पावन झालेल्या भव्य गढ किल्यांचे साैंदर्य डोळे दिपवून टाकणारे असते.

वरून कोसळणारा पाऊस,संपूर्ण गढावर पसरलेली हिरवीगार रानाची चादर आणि गढाला स्पर्श करून जाणारे ते ढग ,

तो अनुभव एखाद्या स्वर्गात आल्यासारखा असतो.
पावसामध्ये ऐकू येणारा त्या पक्षांचा किलबिलाट आणि जोर जोरात वाहणारे वारे पाहून प्रत्येक निसर्ग प्रेमी सह्याद्री कडे नेहमी आकर्षित होत असतात. पुराचा पाण्यामध्ये उडी मारून पोहणे असे धाडस ह्या सह्याद्रीचा मातीत होत असतात.

संध्याकाळ झाली की रात्र किड्यांची किरकिर चालू होते. रात्रीचा वेळीं मासे व खेकडी पकडन्याची मज्जाच काय वेगळी असते. पावसाने तुडुंब भरलेले नदी,नाले अगदी सुसाट वाहत सुटतात. असा हा आमचा महाराष्ट्रातील कणखर सह्याद्री जो तुम्ही कधी ही आणि कोणत्या ही ऋतू मध्ये पाहिला तरी अंगावर शहारे आल्या शिवाय राहणार नाही.
