Kolhapur city is a historical and religious city in the state of Maharashtra.
 Where thousands of devotees visit every year.
 Foreign tourists are also arrives here.
 The soil of Kolhapur is sweet and the tourists also feels very happy.

 This area, which existed hundreds of years ago, is situated near the Sahyadri mountain range.  Credit to Chhatrapati Tarabai for making this area Kolhapur.  After Tarabai, Kolhapur was entrusted with the responsibility of Sattar Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.  He made social and educational development in the region.


 The Shahu Museum in Kolhapur (New palec) was once the residence of the royal family of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.


 Bhavani Mandap, known as the 'Glory of the City', belongs to the background of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj.  Bhavani Pavilion was built by Shivaji Maharaj and this Mandap is dedicated to Goddess Bhavani.  The large hall and grand hall in the grand tent will captivate you.

 Gaganagiri Maharaj Math in Kolhapur is located in the middle of the forest .This monastery teaches yoga and meditation.  It is said that Maharaj performed penance here for eight years with great hardship.  Foreign tourists love this spiritual center very much.


 Radhanagari Dam in Kolhapur, built on the bank of river Bhagwati, was built almost a hundred years ago.  The water of this dam is mainly used for irrigation.


 Also in Kolhapur, there is a large awakening shrine of Sri Mahalakshmi Temple and Jotiba Temple where thousands of devotees come for Darshan every year.

 Kolhapur is also famous for Kolhapuri slippers, Kolhapuri misal, Panhala fort,Kolhapur jewelry, Chatrapati Shivaji University and Rankala pond.
